A dark magic, Three Kingdoms within the grasp of a mysterious peril and one
young girl with the power to save them all....such is the tale spun within "Tirissa
and the Necklace of Nulidor". Tirissa is the main character, henceforth the title,
and begins as the sole exclusion to a darkness that has fallen upon the land.
Adopted by the family with which she lives, she has never felt separated from
them, until now. Though growing pains are felt in many relationships, the
changes she sees happen within an instant. The life and love in their eyes
disappears to be replaced with a dullness likened to the shadows that dance in
the night. What has caused this strange affliction? What power can be used
against it? It is these questions and more that begin Tirissa's quest to save her
world from the stronghold placed upon it.

The author, simply known as Willow, allows readers the chance to partake in this
magical story with well developed characters whom are both likeable and
enchanting. Although intentioned for young adult readers, this fantasy world
readily welcomes one and all ready to depart on a quest imagined by many, but
experienced by few. Join in Tirissa's band of "merry" travelers. You never know
what adventure may lie just beyond the turn of a page....happy reading!

`Tirissa and the Necklace of Nulidor' is a beautiful and heartwarming story
about a young girl named Tirissa. Tirissa's world is turned upside down when
she believes a bird, known as the Beak, turned a dark shadow or spell over
everyone except her. Tirissa then goes on a perilous journey, meeting many
unusual characters along her way, in search of a way to lift this spell.

This is a story that really touched my heart, beautifully written and full of
characters that can be related to on many different levels. The author has
captured Tirissa's personality perfectly making her strong, smart, and sensitive.

I found this to be the perfect read for young adults or older children, for some
of the grammar might be a little tough for youngsters. Or it makes the perfect
story to read aloud to your children, for it contains many elements that will
capture the attention. Overall a wonderful read that I do recommend to all my
friends with children!

Will Tirissa be able to break the spell?? To find out you must read `Tirissa and
the Necklace of Nulidor'

Little did Tirissa know as she climbed Oakenwood Hill early one morning, that
her and the lives of her friends were about to change forever. Even in her
dreams, the thought of calling a troll friend, had never crossed her mind. Yet, it
would be with Oglo "the trolls name" that she would make the journey to free her
friends from a spell that had put them in a sort of hypnotic state. The first part of
the journey took them to Mistress Bellathorn, where they would learn the art of
deadening. A practice that would make them seem invisible to their enemies. It
was there that they decided to travel by night, because the beaks "a group of
flying creatures that were trying to take control of this magical kingdom" would
not fly at night. This is a wonderful, mystical journey, that would climax when the
good guys go to battle against the Beaks.

I believe that most young adults will enjoy this book, but I have to admit that I
enjoyed it to and I am by no means a young adult!

I loved this story! I can't wait to read this story to my daughters when they get
older - but for now, I'll enjoy rereading it for myself. Full of adventure and
fantasy, this is great story for anyone who believes in magic.

Willow has woven a magical and captivating tale of friendship and courage.

Tirissa's adventure begins one morning in her village of Oakenwood. She is
visiting her friends the trees and birds, when a dark shadow passes overhead.
She flees back to her cottage to tell her family what she thinks she has seen
when the Deadening effects all but her. She flees the village pursued by an
evil Beak. Readers then travel with Tirissa, Oglo, the friendly troll, and Storge,
the reluctant guard, on their quest to save the Three Kingdoms from the
Deadening. Along the way, the trio meet Wood Nymphs, Water and Fire
Withches, a fire breathing dragon, and one very evil wizard. Will good triumph
over evil?

While I think this story was originally intended for tween and teen girls, I
believe it will appeal to a much broader audience. I know I found myself
completely enchanted and hope to join Tirissa on many more adventures.

A quest to restore the light of life....
Enchanting

The wind blew and the earth trembled, and Tirissa a young girl of 12
becomes the only one around with true life in her eyes. She's from the
village of Oakenwood. She believes a bird, known as "the Beak", cast a
spell on everyone. She knows she must find help for the village. Here is
where her magical journey begins in this book titled "Tirissa and the
Necklace of Nulidor".

Tirissa's first stop after leaving the village, leads her to being captured by
none other than a troll - "Oglo", who becomes a very important friend to her
throughout the story. She finds out she must travel to the palace and along
the way and when she reaches the palace more than you can imagine will
take place.

So, what do a necklace, deadening stone, crystals, and wizards have in
common? The author, Willow does a wonderful job with these fantasy
characters and magical items keeping you entertained and interested in this
story. This is a very good fantasy read for a young adult.
